Director’s Bio

Multi-award-winning director and filmmaker Vincent Soberano studied film and television in San Diego, California, where he first started working for Stu Segall Productions in 1991. He later moved to Los Angeles and worked in a variety of film and TV before moving to Asia in 2005 to pursue his film career. He recently directed “Run Over” (2022) the pilot episode of his horror anthology miniseries “Ghost Doors” (in development). In 2021, his multi-award-winning horror/action film “Circle of Bones” (2021) was released by Vertical Entertainment to theaters in 10 major US cities, as well as a digital release to 100 million homes in North America. He is the writer and director of the multi-award-winning action/fantasy film “Blood Hunters: Rise of the Hybrids” (2019), released on Amazon Prime (US) and Fox Action Movies (Asia). His works as writer and director also include the martial arts epic drama, “The Trigonal” (2018), which premiered in Cannes on May 12, 2018, and the multi-award-winning short “We Are War” (2018). He also directed the award-winning National Geographic Channel documentary, “On The Brink: Uncharted Waters” (2016).

In addition, he was the action director of the action/comedy blockbuster “Gandarrapido: The Revenger Squad” (2017) which broke Philippine box office records in December 2017, as well as two Korean movie remakes from Viva Films – the award-winning action/thriller “A Hard Day” (2021) which trended in Top 10 on Netflix in 2022, and romantic drama “Always” (2022), in Philippine theaters starting September 28, 2022.

Vincent Soberano is also an actor with credits in Jackie Chan’s “Police Story: Lockdown” (2013), the UFC’s “The Ultimate Fighter (China): First Season” (2014), “Blood Hunters” (2016), “The Trigonal” (2018), “Blood Hunters: Rise of the Hybrids” (2019), “Circle of Bones” (2020), “A Hard Day” (2021), the lead role for “Blursday” (2021) a new dramatic film by 2-time Emmy award-winner Sergio Guerrero, and a supporting role in “Always” (2022) by Viva Films. Vincent Soberano is also the co-producer and co-host of a new parenting chat show and podcast, “Kungfu Momma Show” with host/producer Sarah Chang. He is also in development of several upcoming miniseries and feature film projects with various big studios and independent producers.
